He pointed out that NIT has been contributing significantly in taking care of climate change through research and development activities. Inaugurating the workshop, NITP director P K Jain said climate change has, of late, become an issue of global concern and, hence, all the technocrats must chalk out strategies to mitigate the impacts of climate change owing to the growth of cities along with their population. This means today’s investments in making cities resilient and inclusive will determine whether most people will be able to access basic services, find jobs, and live with dignity, they said.
